Creative Approach
In groups of 8 students, we have to explore a series of photography, daylighting and architecture, artificial lighting and space, light and shadow, and shading of the exterior.
Firstly, we chose a cafe which is located at Johor Bahru which is named as BevC. But due to climatic issue, we give up the option and change it to The ZhongShan Building which is located at Kuala Lumpur. In 2017, the Malaysian capital witnessed the opening of Zhongsan Building, an up-and-coming creative cluster that hosts a wide variety of businesses as well as non-profit organizations in the creative sector. The repurposed building is now home to a flourishing and inspiring creative community in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The project was independently initiated by the team from OUR ArtProjects, a gallery space and art consultancy with a focus on identifying important practices in Malaysian contemporary art as well as producing compelling and engaging exhibitions. During the assignment, there was some unexpected climate change which is haze happening. The assignment was delayed due to the reason. We visited the ZhongShan building for a few times and we only able to get a clearer pictures before the week of submission as the haze was getting more severe and unpredictable.

Case Study
For the second assignment, we have to break into 2 to do a case study of a space and produce an individual A3 board. The topic can be ventilation and acoustic. I chose to analyse the acoustic of the space. The building we chose to analyse is CHOCHA foodstore which is located at Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur. Housed in the former Mah Lian Hotel, this historic building has been transformed into a casual, hip restaurant cum cafe by the owners, who happen to be architects. Clever touches of green around the restaurant brightens up the space and the open courtyard has the best natural lighting complemented by beautiful old floor tiles and potted plants.
